Issacc Lake in British Columbia VENTURE TRIPS With Oregon River Sports Picture yourself canoeing on a glassy smooth lake in British Columbia, or paddling hard through roaring Idaho whitewater rapids, or fishing and camping out of your boat along the John day...In 2008 Oregon River Sports is offering six different wilderness water expeditions for anyone with a sense of adventure and the desire to paddle. The trips ranged from local Pacific Northwest favorites to rugged Idaho canyons, and offer many different types of paddling to enjoy. We paddle with touring kayaks, canoes, inflatable kayaks, or small catarafts and camp out of our boats. We'll have time for a few side hikes on most of the trips, and there are plenty of   wildlife vviewing opportunities All of our Venture Trips are shared experience and shared camp duties. This means that they are not guided trips; we'll all be in this together! Everyone is welcome to come on these expeditions, although the trips require previous paddling experience and some other training. The cost of each trips varies; because these are not guided trips, the prices reflect only the actual costs of doing each individual trip. This means that they are much lower than a similar professionally guided trip would be. This is good for everyone, because it means more of us can participate in more adventures! Each Venture Trip will be planned together as a group. We'll have  pre trip meetings to arrange the trip logistics, including food options and shuttle decisions. April 20-26, 2010 Lower Owyhee River Rome to Burnt Creek-South East Oregon Class II/III whitewater trip that takes you through 55 miles of  canyon lands and desert plateaus to the Owyhee reservoir, then 10 miles across the reservoir to Leslie Gulch. Travel through areas where Indians, Hudson's Bay trappers, Basque shepherds, and the Lewis & Clark Expedition explored many years ago. *Sign-up for this trip between January 1 and March 1, 2010

May 17-29, 2010 Lake Powell Canoe & Kayak Trip This is an canoe & touring kayak expedition trip on flatwater to moderate rough water conditions on Lake Powell in Utah. We will explorer the Escalante River Canyon and we will trek through several canyons in search of "heard of" but seldom found petroglyphs and ancient ruins. And we'll camp along the shoreline and enjoy great food while viewing the best show; "the thousand of stars in the sky at night". *Sign-up for this trip between January 1 and March 25, 2010

June 24-30, 2010 North Fork of the John Day River Camas Creek to Monument-Eastern Oregon Whitewater Inflatable Kayak Trip This is an inflatable kayak trip on flatwater to challenging class 2/3 rapids that meanders through 112 miles of great basalt canyon.  This will be a true exploration which flows just north of the North Fork of the John Day Wilderness area. *Sign-up for this trip between January 1 and May 1, 2010

July 14-18, 2010 Willamette River Canoe Trip Eugene to Independence Oregon The canoeing on the Willamette River is one of best kept secrets out there. You will see very few boats on the water and have quite nights on the river. September 12-22, 2010 Green River Canoe Trip Mineral Bottom to the Colorado River This 56-mile trip on the Green River wanders through red rock canyon lands on flat, glassy water, with a beautiful view around each bend.  We will have some of the best campsites with several hikes to Anasazi ruins and petroglyphs/pictographs to seek out and find on this spiritual trip. *Sign-up for this trip between January 1 and July 1, 2010
