Come and paddle the scenic McKenzie River with us this summer. We offer full-day
and half-day raft and inflatable kayak trips down different sections of this class II(III) river, which runs
through Oregon's Willamette National Forest. The most popular stretch of this beautiful river is from Blue River
down to Helfrich. This section, known as the "Lower McKenzie," provides plenty of excitement, with several class
II rapids and the class III Marten Rapids. The rapids are separated by lazy calm stretches, making this run
especially popular with families and first-timers. The "Upper McKenzie" begins at the Ollalie Campground and
flows to the confluence of the South Fork of the McKenzie and the McKenzie. This is a more pristine section of
the Mac. The upper section has a more dramatic change in gradient than the lower run, and is characterized by
continuous rapids. This water can be challenging, and the wilderness it runs through is more remote than the
lower McKenzie.
GUIDED TRIPS With Oregon River Sports |
Our GuidesOregon River Sports guides are highly qualified, experienced, safety-conscious individuals. They are first aid and CPR certified. They work hard to ensure your trip is enjoyable and you are confortable. Gratuities are gratefully accepted. We are not in the business of processing our customers- just putting them in rafts and floating them down the river. Rather, we would like to share with people the adventure and the serenity that can be found on our moving earth...the rivers. We do not work at what we do, instead we display a passion and a lifestyle intertwined with the outdoors. Come and experience our style of river running... and we will show you how to run with fluid motion...M. Guy Santiago Oregon River Sports |
