Come join us on an adventure, picture yourself canoeing on a glassy smooth lake in British Columbia, or paddling
hard through roaring Idaho whitewater rapids. Exploring the urban wilderness in your own back yard or floating a
desert canyon on Oregon's high plateau. Fishing, camping and taking in the sights, the view from your boat is one
that few people will ever see.
"Venture Trips" are for anyone with a sense of adventure and average physical ability. The trips rang from local
Pacific Northwest favorites, like the Willamette, the Rogue and John Day Rivers to the rugged towering canyons of
Idaho's lower Salmon River. The wilderness Lakes of British Columbia's Bowron Lake chain or the deep blue waters
of Baja California's Sea of Cortez.
There is a trip for everyone, we paddle with touring kayaks, canoes, inflatable kayaks, or rafts and camp out of
our boats for five to ten days and nights. On every Venture Trip we'll have time for a few side hikes, there are
plenty of wildlife-viewing opportunities, fishing, photography or just relaxing.
Venture trips group leaders are experienced wilderness boaters and skilled facilitators; their job is to lead the
group through the process of putting a wilderness trip together Venture trips are not guided trips, you will have
to pack and paddle or row your own boat. All Venture Trips are shared expense and experience excursions.
Although everyone is welcome to come on a Venture Trip, some of the trips do require previous paddling
experience [check out our list of paddling and rowing skills classes by
Clicking (HERE)], and all trips are physically and
mentally demanding. Some more so than others! The cost of each trip varies because these are not guided
trips the prices reflect only the actual costs of doing each individual trip and is a fraction of what a guided
trip would cost. Every Venture Trip is planned as a group. We'll have pre-trip meetings to arrange trip
logistics, including; car pooling, boating and camping gear, food options and shuttle arrangements.
We'll all be in this together!
The following are the trips we're offering in 2008 If you have any questions, you can email by clicking here
